Children In Need 2012

So then, when I am not being a swearing evil mother in supermarkets, I put alot of time and effort into pleasing my little fellas.

Yesterday was Children in Need day and I think I surpassed myself in the effort I put in this year.

I made 26 cakes for the cake sale.

I thought like a child and designed them for kids. So of course we had to go for sprinkles.

The cake sale were selling all cakes for 20p each in aid of the charity.

In nursery they sold out fast.

They also sold out for the bigger kids too, Matthew and Liam each bought mummys cakes over all the Pudsey bears (that I planned to do originally) and chocolatey ones.

The kids also paid £1.20 each to go to school in pyjamas, have their faces painted and to get a cake in school. But I did take the kids extra cake money.

So this year, my contribution to Children  in Needs has been £2.40 for non uniform, 60p for extra cakes and £5.20 raised from selling out my cakes. That's a grand total of £8.20 without taking into account the cake ingredients so I am feeling like I have done some good for others this week.

On the night Children in Need raised a staggering £26.7million for kids that need it. From those coping with abuse to those mourning a lost parent and all those with medical conditions and disabilities. Children in Need not only raises money but awareness for these kids. This total normally goes up by another £15-£20million once all the counting has been done over time.

This week has mostly been about Christmas shopping but I will elaborate more on that when Matthew isn't around with the risk of reading over my shoulder. Ha!
