1) The kids are growing up incredibly fast these days. I am incredibly proud of all 3.
2) Starting with the biggest news of the week/past 2 weeks is that Matthew now walks home from school on his own. Once a week we will meet him at the library rather than have him walk all the way home but the other 4 days of school he is free to trek back on his own.
3) Needless to say mummy worries alot more about this than he does. SO with that in mind, one of Matthews Christmas presents this year is a mobile phone. I never thought I would be one of those mums who allowed their teenagers to have phones, let alone give one to my son 3 weeks before he turns 9!!! But this is to be able to contact him if he is late or if there is a change in pattern at all. He will get a pay as you go phone and only get £10 per month on it as a way of pocket money.
4)Liam is getting to the end of his nappy journey. The last few weeks have been great with the potty training. We even had a whole week accident free wearing pants. Today he got through play group wearing pants and trousers all morning without an accident. Ok, he did have an accident between the house and the playgroup but that doesn't count.
5) So we took him to McDonalds as a treat for lunch. (Yes, I am a mega evil bad mum that feeds my kids fast food occassionally wink wink) and since we've been back we've had another accident. Now he's back in a nappy as he sleeps off his hectic exciting morning.
6) I am not discouraged by the accidents at all and I won't let him be either. Rome wasn't built in a day as the saying goes.
7) These number points aren't all completely necessary.
8) We've done a whole load of Christmas shopping already. I am very pleased with myself about this.
9) Growing my nails once again.
10) In less than 4 weeks, I will have done my driving test. Again, I am not sharing the date but on the day I will update the blog with how it went.
11) We've pretty much got Liam out of the buggy. He walks to school and back every morning and we don't take it out shopping or anything any more. I do occassionally take it out for the collection of James as I don't think I am ready to have 2 tired boys trudging home slowly when I just want to get in and sort out lunch.
12) Liams current LOVE is Disney Cars.
13) James Loves Lego, especially Lego City.
14) Matthew still lives for football. He is very interested in sport as a whole but it's football (soccer) all the way.
15) It's scary thinking that my baby will soon be out of nappies and the buggy. The only baby thing left is the stairgate at the top of the stairs - but that is hanging around for a bit. Until the little boys sleep in later than 6am at least.
16) It's getting colder all of a sudden. I don't like cold.
17) My Good Reads book challenge is nearly over! I wanted to achieve 100 books in 2012, I am currently halfway through "Never Tell" by Claire Seeber and that's a very good thriller I would recommend. It's also book #94. With "Bridget Jones - Edge Of Reason" on the list next I expect to have finished that by the weekend and be on book #96 to start next week.
18) If I counted the kids school and library books I would be closer to 400 than 100!
19) I don't think I have mentioned Christmas enough. It's my favourite time of year. I need Christmas decorations this year as last year we made our own. It's not something I will repeat. It's only a month until we have our pre-christmas break and I am really excited.
20) The car was broken YET AGAIN. Hubby took it to our regular garage to get it fixed. The pump on the water thing that cleans the windows appeared to be broken but it was actually a split pipe that they replaced free of charge. It was fine in the MOT the other week so we don't know what happened. The main thing is it's back to working ok. Oh well, should be in perfect working order when I get to drive it. And since I don't currently drive it, I am not getting the blame for it's issues. The End.
