I didn't realise how long it's been since my last post.
It's amazing how family life and a little extra exercise can keep me busy enough that I cannot spare 30 minutes to blog.
We've had a lovely few days. Hubbys shifts fell so that he had a 4 day weekend Saturday through to Tuesday so that's been lovely. We spent Saturday travelling to Norwich for the day. Hubbys dad works for the train system so we get a family pass every christmas allowing us free train travel in Eastern England and we tend to use it around Matthews birthday. The kids are proper little boys and adore trains. James especially. Since we live in the middle of nowhere now, it required 3 trains each way. The little ones loved being around the station platforms seeing freight trains go past. I remember when I was little frieght trains seemed to never end. They were amazing. Funnily enough, it took 2 trains to get to our old town we lived in. Our local train from a few minutes drive down the road does one trip an hour. It goes to the village next to Colchester, we then need another train into Colchester and then swap to get a last train to Norwich. Matthew loved his day out and got to spend his birthday on Manchester United clothing, Adidas trainers, a PS3 game and a table football game. He also got a KFC as a birthday dinner treat. My First baby is really becoming a grown up!
Despite the fact it was Matthews birthday last week and Sunday was our Christmas with the inlaws I could have made a million excuses with the diet but I didn't. I did indulge myself a little but I didn't go overboard. It was a celebratory week. So, with the fact I didn't deny myself anything (KFC, Cake, Burgers, Chocolate, a second christmas dinner etc) but kept it all in moderation I was still rather pleased to lose 2lb this week. I am also looking good for this week. But as it's midweek I won't be changing my counter for a few days but I can say I am quietly confident.
I notice my belly is getting smaller, not firmer as yet but smaller. My bottom feels smaller and firmer from all the cycling and I am feeling good overall. I am enjoying the foods I do eat but will always allow myself a small treat each day.
Exercise means I also get time to do other things. I am certainly a woman who can multi-task! Cycling is the perfect oppertunity to sit down, stick on a music channel and read for an hour a day. I am now averaging 3 library books a week since I have taken up cycling again. It keeps my mind occupied. Watching the figures on my exercise bike drives me crazy. It all seems so much hard work. However, a few pages here and there and before you know it you are averaging 80 pages a day whilst the legs and thighs and bottom get their work done.
I love it.
Well done hun, you are doing amazingly well. Especially with all the excuses you could have made, I would so easily have given up on the diet then. *hugs* x
ReplyDeleteI love reading magazines while I cycle. It makes the time go fast! Congrats on your loss! You are doing great!
