3lb off since last Saturday.
Can I manage the last 3lb for this week?
3lb for the 20lb target.
3lb for the big 70lb loss.
I'd love to do it. Wish me luck.
Monday will have me back on the exercise route, I've been busy with the kids off school and being ill the past 7 days (I'm still not right) but I'm ready to plough back in with all guns blazing.
I am feeling rather confident and I am down to the next "stone" bracket. That makes a healthy happy change!
Good luck! Did you ever reach a plateau in your weight loss? I've reached one at the moment, I'm finding it very disheartening, and wondering how you dealt with it if you have done. I'm thinking maybe forget the scales for a few weeks and try and get exercising and see if I lose any inches that way (that's my goal overall, more than weight loss per-se).
ReplyDelete(Oh, btw thought I'd let you know I have a weightloss blog here as well, you can view it through my profile, in case you've not spotted it already - and no need to approve this, this is FYI :) )
ReplyDeleteMy biggest plateu is always around the "new stone" marks. Its almost as though the change gets me confident and I dont try quite so hard. Or my body just needs to catach up with the scales every couple of months. Especailly when you are losing it steadily. I don't believe in losing it too quick as it can go on again that much easier. Keep steady and take time for treats rather than go at it too hard.
ReplyDeleteHaving a plateau can be frustrating but I look at it that it's not necessarily a bad thing. I'd rather have my body catch up than have saggy skin and it's always better to stay the same than put it on.
You are doing so well! Plateau's can be a pain in the neck, but as long as you are not discouraged by them and use them as a time to shake up your routine, then you will get past it. You are definitely an inspiration to me as I will be on my own weight loss journey once baby is born!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Though it sounds like you don't particularly need luck, as you have been doing a fantastic job on your own! :) You are definitely an inspiration. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca. I'm definitely approaching my own weightloss this time round with a better attitude, and I've stuck around the same weight now for best part of a month, I'd have given up completely by now if I wasn't so determined.
ReplyDeleteThat way of thinking is just what I needed I think, thank you for taking the time to reply. x You are doing great, and such an inspiration. You have now lost the amount of weight I myself want to lose in total, so I know it's possible! Well done you!
A good attitude and some self belief is half the battle. We all start off well then get to a point a where we arent happy as we get stuck and lose heart. The difference is to not give into the deflated feeling it gives you. Hang in there, keep it positive. Think of the bigger picture and it'll happen. Just believe in yourself. x
ReplyDeleteCongrats on those 3 lbs!! You can do this! Hope you're feeling better!
