Twelve Weeks To Go

This year seems to be flying by quicker than ever. It's been 2 weeks since we got the keys to the new house. Half a month has flown by so quickly.

The last week has been productive on the wedding front. Cakes are ordered and so are the wedding rings. I have ordered my wedding ring from the same shop as my engagement ring and since I got my engagement ring last August, I have gone down THREE ring sizes. I was pregnant when I got my last ring so expcted to have shrunk a size yet so much smaller than I expected it to be! Now I see why my engagement ring is so loose.

I opted for the gold band with a single row of diamonds.

I have also ordered all the individual bits to make my bouquets. Because of budget, I am now doing this myself. I have had a practice and have realised that it is not half as hard as I imagined. I like doing things a little more personal and doing my own wedding flowers will make them that little more special.

In fact I have had a bit of an ebay frenzy the last couple of weeks. I have ordered all the following:

floristry tape
ribbon
pins for the ribbon
diamante pins
gold sandals
cake stand
extra wedding invitations

I did write all my wedding invitations last week to find I was 3 invitations short. I have plenty of evening ones but it would be the important ones I lack. So far I have sent out 2 of them that I have posted. Everyone else will get theirs as I see them or they will have them posted through doors.

It's now only 12 weeks until the big day!!! We had 13 months to plan for this and now we're almost into single digit weeks. (It's like being pregnant all over again)

Where has that time gone? Once everyone is invited I only need to get the decorations in order then all is booked and organised. Phew. Then it's the waiting game for everything to turn up and be right on August 21st.
