And Almost Another Week Flies By.

2lbs off this week. Not quite the 3lb I wanted but 10lb in two weeks is something I am more than chuffed about. I'll put it down to a heavy carb weekend. Curry and rice Saturday, homemade Lasagne, jacket potato, garlic bread and salad yesterday when I had been doing low carb the previous week,

So....besides filling my belly up this weekend......

We've been busy getting the garden on track. We've pulled out a bed of weeds, covered it in soil, planted some wild flowers and covered the seeds in bark to keep the moisture in.

In the back garden, we've finally sorted out the dumping corner. Alot of things were taken to the dump to be sent off for the landfill site yesterday.

Hubby burnt a load of old cardboard in the incinerator - setting fire to the fence in the process. We'd left it while we had dinner. Hubby noticed that some of the hot ash must have set our old flower bed lining alight and the fence had a lovely flame on it. Only a tiny bit was damaged and there is only 1 hole in the base of the fence frame so no little children will be getting out.

Saturday we spent the day in Colchester. Front tyres on the car were replaced before it faces it's MOT next month. We then took the kiddies to the new park they have installed. They loved it. Liam was in the wars and came away with a few bumps and cuts. The park is fine for James, ideal for Matthew, but a little too grown up for little Liam. We had a bleeding lip and a bump to the head.

We then met up with mother in law in town and went back to the park for a little picnic. After that we went to see my nan as it was her birthday. We didn't want to think of her alone on her birthday seeings it's the first time she's had a birthday without my grandad. We then called round to see my parents for an hour so most of the family were seen that day.

An old school friend had her first baby last week. They had been trying 5 years before IVF gave her and her husband a beautiful little girl.
